Master.

Master. Cub Master. That is my new title at church. Seriously. I am laughing too. What the heck are they thinking!? I don't know have the first clue about scouting. Actually, that is not true. I know very little about scouting. And now I am in charge?! WTF!? I am not so much worried about being in charge, not knowing a thing, or standing in front of people (I get stage fright), as I am to wearing these HOT, SEXY uniform things. I don't even know for sure what they are called. I think I might go for the yellow shirt, bandana, and skirt. But yeah, I think I have to invest in one... is invest even the right word?! Anyone have one I could borrow?! I will bedazzle it to make it cute!!! :) Oh wait, I think that is what the patches are for. UGH. Still laughing about my calling?! Yeah, me too.

Twin Peak Panthers

I was a Twin Peak Panther. That was the elementary school I went to. I left after the fourth grade. I only had four teachers for the five years I was there. Ms. Tregeagle taught me for the second and fourth grade. Best teacher EVER. No exaggeration. Ask anyone that has had her. She rocks. I don't remember everyone there, but I remember enough. And oddly enough, they remember me.

Thanks to this thing called Facebook I have been able to reconnect with some of them. And we planned a reunion. That is right. An elementary school reunion. A TWENTY year school reunion. And it was a freaking BLAST! I am still on a high from it. I saw my best friend, crush, "enemy" and other friends I have just wondered about!

I was surprisingly nervous to go. I wasn't sure if I was going to recognize anyone (even though I had stalked their Facebook pages) and I wasn't sure if they would recognize me. I mean, I've grown a whole four inches since I left! Needless to say, I recognized EVERYONE that came. We even had our teacher come. We were her very first class and it was crazy how much she remembered of us and what we did! We ate at this cute little place called The Italian Village and I think we had to wait over an hour to sit down (there were 15 of us). Once we sat down, we all chatted probably for another hour waiting for our food. The time seemed to fly by (but that is probably because I didn't stop talking, laughing or listening the whole time.)

After dinner a bunch of us hung out in front of the restaurant for another hour or so and then decided to go get ice cream after that. Like I said, a TOTAL BLAST! There was never a lull in conversation and plenty of jokes throughout the night. I am hoping to be seeing these people sooner than 20 years. That is, if they ever come down to where I live!!! Some people said they hate it here.... some people haven't even been here.... OH WELL. If anything, I will be going back there and bugging all of them! :) Thank you Panthers (FYI, I didn't remember the mascot of the school, I had to ask). Let's do it again!

Our 2nd grade class! (most of us were in the same 4th grade class)

My "enemy" He proposed to me in kindergarten. I said no. Now we are good friends.

Tully and his girlfriend. The only thing different about him is that he doesn't have a flat top anymore! :(

Travis Holt (only guy married in the class), me and Ryan Kelly

My best friend in elementary. The pic was taken with my phone so it sucks. We used to think we looked like twins.

Josh, Austin, Tully and Amber (my posse for the night)

The whole group minus Ryan who was taking the picture. Thanks Ryan!

Taylor and me. (I had the biggest crush on him!) He sang "God Bless the USA" and I think of him EVERY time I hear it! *sigh*

Taylor, Austin, Josh and Ms. T!!! She rocks.... seriously!

Shane, Aaron (my friends AWESOME hubby, and no that isn't being sarcastic) and Jennifer

Here we are again! She has grown a lot taller than me. And yes, I know I look freaking OLD!

Shane (so nice), Austin (so cool), me (so short), Tully (so chill) and Josh (so sweet).

Not as tough as they look!

Undecided...

That is what I am. Undecided. I know that I have wasted peoples precious eye sight in reading my woes about quitting Diet Pepsi, but it has been a big deal for me! Anyway, now I am three weeks down and it hasn't been TOO bad, except for the fact that I have gained SIX pounds. That's right. Six. S. I. X. Six freaking pounds! I know why. It's because I eat sugary crap like cookies and ice cream and cookies, because I don't have the DP to curb my sweet tooth. So now... do I go back so I don't gain any more weight or keep off it and just eat my way to heaven.

One week....

I am one week sober. I would love to say that it has been easy, but I can't. I can say, it hasn't been as bad as I thought, but I want it. Bad. I haven't even had a headache. I just miss drinking it! My mouth waters every time I hear Brent open a can. I can almost taste it as I look at a can. But I don't. I do have willpower when I choose to, and this, I must have willpower. I can and will overcome my craving. Until then, here are some words of advice to the other addicts out there.

It's not worth it!. There really is no purpose in doing so. Bottom line. It sucks, so if you aren't gaining weight, getting heartburn or any other nonsense, don't quit. Just enjoy it and be the happy person it makes you be!

My name is Lyndsi.....

and I am an addict.

Today, August 16, 2009 will be my last day of Diet Pepsi (hopefully). I am slowly drinking my last can right now and I can't believe I am going to try and quit. I thought I never would, since it is DIET and there are no calories in it, but nevertheless, I shall try.

How does one know they are an addict you might ask?! This is how I figured it out (besides Heather saying that I drink more Pepsi than anyone she knows)
-You know that 32 cent Tuesday is at the First Stop and that 44 cent Wed. is at the Chevron
-Your child's first words are COKE
- You save your Maverik cups to take and get refills to save money
-You rob your kids piggy banks so you don't have to swipe your debit card for .68 (that is for two 32 cent drinks)
-You actually swipe your debit card for .68 when you forgot to rob the bank!
-You have more Diet Pepsi in the fridge than you do bottles of water
-You know where all the soda deals are
-You know that Costco has the best deal!
-You crave it no matter what you do. Whether its brushing your teeth, eating ANYTHING (especially sweets), getting ready for bed, you get the idea...
-You only will go to restaurants that serve Diet Pepsi (which aren't that many)
-You know who has the nastiest Pepsi around and avoid it like the plague (Fabulous Freddies)

Once again, my name is Lyndsi, and I am an addict.

WARNING: I may be crabby, sick, trembling, have a MASSIVE and short tempered for awhile, but please don't give up on me. Call to make sure that I haven't gone into some sort of coma, that my kids are alive and well, and that Brent hasn't left me for good because the "rash" just won't go away. (And no, he doesn't have an STD)

Good bye Diet Pepsi. How I have loved you and will always love you. It is better that we part our ways now. It isn't you, it's me. You have gotten me through the worse days of my life, two newborns, and just every day life! Thank you.

WHAT A WEEK!

I have been trying to think of something to blog about and now I finally have a couple of things to blog about! YIPEE... now the complaining starts!

Monday- My purse was freakin' stolen out of my car at the park! Can you believe it?! Seriously. And the worse part was I finally went and cashed some checks over $200 worth and now it is gone. They also spent $500 roughly on my debit card and $500ish on my credit card. Luckily we will get all of that back. The lame thing is, most of it was spent and Wal-Mart, K-Mart, and KB Toy Store! Luckily little kid...

Tuesday- The syrup at the Tesoro was out for the Diet Pepsi.

Wednesday- Fell down stairs and about killed myself. Luckily I was OK, but my ego was a bit bruised. No one saw though (thankfully).

Saturday- Locked keys in the car that I was using and didn't get them out until 11:30 PM. Thanks Andy! I hope you knee is doing OK!!!

There are a couple of good things that came about this. I didn't have to pay for a locksmith or a doctor!

Sunday will follow this post so scroll on down!

And the monster lives....

It has been gone for two years, but it is finally back. And it is not pretty. It has zits all over its face, grease dripping out of the pores, bloated, very irritable and so emotional and it can't stop eating for the life of it. What is it you might ask!? ME WITH PMS! WTF!? I hate it. I know most women don't enjoy it, but it has come back with a vengeance! I was lucky enough to not have a period since before getting pregnant with Gavin (excluding the bleeding from my IUD, which wasn't hormonal), and now that "she" is on her way, I am miserable along with the rest of the people I associate with! My poor, poor little family. I hope we all survive the next couple of weeks. And I apologize now to anyone that I might offend in the next week or so! I will try and keep my mouth shut, but sometimes things just come out that don't mean to! And as to the PMS monster- I HATE YOU and I hope you leave soon (and so does B)...

Getting FIT

Well, spring has sprung (that sounds weird) and once again this Monday is going to be the day I start to work out, eat better, and not be so damn ornery! So, I have decided to maybe have a food journal, exercise journal and a temper monitor on here... so you don't have to even look at it, but maybe it will curb my sweet tooth or something-

I've been tagged by Savannah Foisy!

Rules:

Link to the person who tagged you.
Write down six things that make you happy.
Tag six other people and let them know you did it.
Post Rules
Let the tagger know when you are done.

HERE ARE MY SIX HAPPY THINGS!!!

1- Sleeping. Sleeping kids, sleeping husband, sleeping me. Not that I don't enjoy everyone awake, but I think that my family is just so adorable asleep. I forget all of the frustrations of the day when I see them sleeping. And then they wake up and remind me of it all over again.

2- A good Diet Pepsi. Nice, cold, perfect ice/soda combo.

3- A good deal on anything! I hate paying full price on stuff.

4- Being pregnant. Weird I know, but I love being pregnant! (but I love being unpregnant too)

5- My husband. He is a pretty funny dude.

6- Any good TV show. I love good TV. And sewing. That makes me happy. Having a clear face (which never happens). Having a god hair day (which rarely happens) Shopping (when I can find stuff...

Lots of things make me happy. But what would make me the happiest is if my three year old child would stay in her freaking bed!!!

I tag- the first six people on my link list!

STUPID EFFING COP!

Yesterday at approximately 11:52 AM, I got my first speeding ticket in over 5 years. (That is a record for me). The last time I got a ticket was in my wreck which was my fault (thanks again Misty for helping out! :) ) Anyway, I got pulled over by my old stomping grounds (Dixie High School) and had NO CLUE why I was getting pulled over. Well it happens that I was speeding by Cinema Six and the dumb A cop decided to give me a ticket. He didn't even give me a chance to try and show a little cleave or anything (just kidding about actually showing it). He then went back to his car and sat for about 10 minutes while my kids SCREAMED the whole time. After he was done writing my $82 ticket, he asked me if I was wearing contacts (which I don't have) and then lectured me about how I should be wearing glasses if it says that on my license (I lost my glasses years ago). My kids were screaming the whole time and by the time I was done, I was bawling my kids were bawling and Officer Jackass was feeling pretty good about himself. DUMB COP!

Chocolate Cake

Well, this week has already been crazy and it is only Wednesday. I feel like I haven't been home more than 10 minutes and that my kids have only napped for about that long. Either way, I have a laundry list of things to do (including laundry) yet I am sitting here about to eat my second HUGE piece of chocolate cake. It is leftovers and I am assuming that I will be eating the whole thing by myself. I love chocolate cake without any frosting. Plus it is 100 times healthier! (I only wish). Now I know why Makenna said what she said in her prayers, and I quote!

Heavenly Father,
Bless me this night,
Please bless my mommy
Please bless my mommy's big tummy (mind you I am NOT expecting)
Please bless................. and went from there.

Needless to say, I went to the gym that night and sure enough, looked at my gut. I know it is a combination of stretched skin and fat, but still- how embarrassing and nasty! And now I have shared it with all ya'll. And don't say I don't have a gut, because kids don't lie! :)

WATCH OUT!

So I'm a bit of a klutz. I know, a shocker right? I don't know if a klutz is the right word but, I sometimes run into the wall as I'm turning the corner, whack my head on the freezer or cupboard door, slam my fingers into something, almost trip over the carpet... that sort of thing. So! (I can't believe I'm admitting this)

A few weeks ago I was driving down a road that was lined with orange barricades, and somehow I hit one. I wasn't distracted, but yeah, I hit one. And it scared the crap out of me. It bent my passenger side mirror in and then knocked the actual mirror out of the mirror frame so it was flapping and slamming against my window. I also got some rubber on the side of my car, but no body damage (thank goodness). I felt stupid, but laughed it off and all was well.

SO! I was driving again the other day and there were road signs and barricades on the side of the road and my 2 1/2 year old says, "MOM! Watch out for the orange signs!" Thats right. Makenna knew I had hit it the first time, and was telling me to be careful! Isn't that horrible?! :) I got a real good laugh out of that. Hopefully I won't hit anything else. Unless it is in Brents hearse.

The End.

I need serious help!

I cannot finish/put down Breaking Dawn. I want to finish it so badly for the mere purpose of moving on with my life. I feel like I have to hurry and finish this post because Edward is waiting for me. I like the book alright, but man, I wish I could just finish it so I can function like a normal human being! I have loads of laundry that needs to be folded (at least its clean) spots on my floor that need to be mopped, rocks in the front entry way that Makenna hauled in that I haven't made her pick up yet, mail to open and my stomach to feed, but for some reason I can't put the book down, or finish it for that matter! It is driving me nuts! My goal is to finish the book tonight so that I can do some actual posts, watch a bit of the Olympics, and finally clean my house! I'm a horrible mother and wife right now, but its OK because Brent is gone and my kids are asleep. If only I were a vampire and could do all of this quickly.
